Welcome to Bonding Over Books!!  My name is Sophia.  I have been a Kindergarten and First Grade teacher for the past ten years.   I love watching my students grow into confident, happy readers.  However, it wasn’t always this way for me or my kids.  

Before I became a teacher, I was someone even more important, a Mom. I remember how overwhelming the beginning of school was for my daughter, and for me.  It seemed like everyone else had the “magic formula,” and I felt ridiculously behind.  So I did what all good moms do, I learned everything I could to help my child.  Now, I would like to share my wisdom with you and your children because I think our kids are the most precious things in our lives.  I want to help make reading time, a happy time.
